Todd Mehall
HillCap Partners Co-Founder and CEO Todd Mehall
Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Todd Mehall served as the chief executive officer of HillCap Partners in Dallas since co-founding the oil and gas investment company in 2024. He balanced his business development activities at HillCap Partners with his role at Oak Savanna Investments. Over 14 years in this position, Todd Mehall has served in an advisory capacity for more than $200 million in investments. A few of his past positions include chief investment officer at Tug Hill and president of Palladium Energy Development.
During his time as the investment lead at Tug Hill, Todd Mehall co-founded Tug Hill Operating, LLC, and several affiliated businesses. He invested upwards of $1 billion in internal capital and managed a portion of the sales of more than $5 billion in assets to Chesapeake, Chevron, Enerplus Resources, and other major oil and gas industry operators.
Todd Mehall was a university scholar during his time at Southern Methodist University. After earning his mechanical engineering degree, he continued his education at the University of Texas in Austin, earning a master of business administration in entrepreneurship. His business interests outside of the oil and gas industry include the global commodities markets and macroeconomic trends.
